Tout commence par trois lettres

Depuis Drancy, 3LDS CONSULTING publie sous la marque 3LDS Games des jeux de lettres où chaque grille se construit à partir de mots de trois lettres, en français ou en anglais.

On change une lettre à la fois pour passer d’un mot à l’autre, jusqu’à relier le mot de départ au mot d’arrivée.

Les grilles sont courtes et bienveillantes ; un indice propose une lettre possible sans donner la solution.

North-east of Paris in Drancy, 3LDS CONSULTING publishes word games under the 3LDS Games name as an independent game studio. We design word games for Android built entirely around three-letter words, playable in French or English.

Each puzzle is a ladder. Starting from one word, the player changes a single letter at a time to reach a target word, so that cat can become dog through a short chain of real words. Every step must be a valid word in the chosen language.

Puzzles are short and friendly, with a hint that suggests one possible letter without solving the ladder. A bilingual mode mixes French and English steps for players who enjoy both languages, which makes the game a light way to practise vocabulary.

The design is clean and typographic, with large letter tiles that are easy to read and a calm colour scheme. Ladders never run against the clock, nobody loses a life and the game sells nothing.

A small dictionary collects every word the player has used, with a short definition in both languages.

Partir

Start

Un mot de trois lettres au départ.

Changer

Change

Une lettre à la fois, un vrai mot à chaque pas.

Arriver

Arrive

Atteindre le mot visé.

Daily ladders offer a fresh challenge, and older ladders remain available to play at any time. The game works offline once installed and remembers every ladder in progress. Players can choose between a calm mode with unlimited hints and a challenge mode that asks for the shortest possible ladder. Each word in the dictionary also shows how it is pronounced and an example sentence, which makes the game a gentle companion for anyone learning either language. Ladders are carefully checked so that every step uses common words, and unusual or offensive words are never accepted. Progress is stored on the phone, and the game works without any internet connection once installed. New ladders are added every week, in both languages, by hand.
